Get to know me | 15 interesting facts about me

Hey y’all! I wanted to do a 15 facts about me post so that y’all could get to know more about me and what I like! I already did an about me post, but I didn’t go into much detail. I hope y’all love this longer version!

1. When I first started driving I couldn’t wear shoes or jewelry, i felt like it distracted me!

2. I love art and science! If I could replace math with those 2 I’d be perfect in school. I’ve drawn and painted since I was a kid.

3. I suffer with ADD, but not as much as I use to. I’ve cut out a lot of sugar in my diet and it helped a ton.

4. I’d rather walk barefoot but since that’s socially unacceptable I always prefer sandals haha! But I do walk barefoot in my yard/house.

5. I hate having unpainted nails! I feel like they were made to have color on them haha. I also hate painting them myself because I’m a mess at it.

6. I’ve had this pillow case that’s a specific color and fabric since I was a child! When I need a new one I have to hunt that exact color and fabric down. I also hate when people lay on it haha! I know that sounds crazy.

7. I hate cleaning. If I clean I like to have a YouTube or song in the background or someone has to help cuz I get distracted or bored with it. If I ever clean on my own it’s cuz I have a huge burst of energy.

8. I have to sleep with a fan on and wear shorts to bed. No matter how cold it is!

9. When I go on down on escalators I have to go second if I’m with someone because I feel like I’ll fall down and when I’m going up I have to go first so I don’t feel like I’ll fall backwards.

10. I’m allergic to red apples. Specifically red (I know that’s weird) or any type of all natural juice. If I think about a juice cleanse- Can’t ever try it. My throat gets itchy and I start coughing or closes up until I take a Benadryl.

11. I hate taking pictures of myself (I know, who would think a blogger would hate pictures) but I’m never one to say “let’s take a selfie” or anything like that. But I do it for fun for the blog #doitfortheblog

12. I love listening to violin covers of songs.

13. I have never lived without a cat or dog.

14. I hate vanilla scented things, they make me nauseous.

15. I use to want to be a fashion designer. (I had a sketch book filled with drawings forever)

I hope y’all enjoyed these random facts about me! Make sure you’re following my YouTube channel Here for videos that are coming soon!

Last weekend Daniel and I went to California to visit his family and it was amazing! We stayed around LA/Costa mesa and tried our best to vlog the trip! It’s no 5-star video buttttt we might start some videos here and there so stay tuned!

I’ll be listing the places we went below:

Fragrance with a Cause

I was super excited to receive this DefineMe Fragrance set! One thing that is very important to me is cruelty-free products, and not only is this cruelty-free this company also gives back to girls’ education! Tell me that’s not awesome and empowering to hear. I love it when I see companies give back, I believe that’s what our purpose is. So enough about that and let’s start chatting about the fragrance!

I got the Opposites Attract set with the Payton and Clara scents. Payton is a smooth musky scent with hints of orange blossom to me- I literally smelled it and said “I smell like a grown woman now” haha! It’s more of a night time scent, and oddly enough I love it and I don’t usually like musky smells! Clara just reminds me of a floral bubble bath scent- but here’s the best part… Pair them together and it’s the absolute best smell ever! I feel like it really describes my personality in a fragrance.

Like I said in the beginning, every full sized bottle (or the 2 bottle sets like mine in the picture) that gets sold, DefineMe Fragrance gives $1 for scholarships for girls in low-income countries.

Does NeuLash eyelash serum work?

Hi there! I know I missed my post yesterday, but I’ll stay on track after this! Daniel and I just got back from California and we’re sad our vacation went by so fast. I’ll try to make a video about our trip (if my editing skills cooperate) haha.

I get told a lot that I have thick/long eyelashes, but I’ve always wanted them to be longer. One thing I’m guilty of is when I have a clump of mascara, I will pull it off my eyelash causing me to sometimes pull my lashes out. I know that sounds disgusting and it’s not good to do- so that’s why I decided to purchase NeuLash. I was going back and forth about if I should buy the NeuLash eyelash growth serum for months, and then I finally bit the bullet and did. It’s not cheap at all- just for .11 fl oz is $95! I know, my heart hurt too the first time I saw it… that’s why I saved up to test it for yall! I’m not gonna lie to yall, the directions say to apply it on every night on your eyelash line (same place you apply liquid eyeliner) but some nights I forgot because I was too tired to remember. I have before and current pictures of my eyelashes below without any mascara

To be completely honest, my lashes do look fuller but not longer. When I apply eyelash primer and mascara they do look long! I am happy with my results due to me telling you how sometimes I’d pull mine out from mascara clumping. Would I buy this again? Eh.. if I needed them to be fuller again definitely yes, for length it didn’t do too much. I do love my results though, but it’s still pretty expensive. This post is based on my 1-month long process of using it. You can purchase it here

I hope this helps you if you’re on the line of buying this!

Beautiful baubles under $100

Everyone loves some good jewelry, especially when it’s under $100! From hoops to bracelets I’ll show you my favorite pieces from that you can get at Target or designer brands.

One ring that I’ve been dying over is this silver simulated diamond band that’s only $99, but looks like it’s hundreds of dollars! These gold floral earrings are too cute to pass up, especially for under $60. I feel like they could make a simple outfit dressy without overdoing it.

BaubleBar has a great line at Target that looks expensive but it’s very affordable. The pink burst earrings and blue tassels are under $20 at Target.

Now, at BaubleBar’s actual website they are still very affordable! I’m talking about seeing a necklace for $700 and they made an affordable dupe for under $50 pictured here! This layered necklace is definitely on my wish list. They also have this gold link bracelet for under $40 which is a steal! I’ve always wanted a chunky gold bracelet that looks high quality, but don’t want to spend hundreds on it.

This James Avery silver twisted link bracelet has been on my list for months y’all! The best part is that now they are having a special called the Charm Event where you buy 2 charms and get a bracelet free up to $69 and this fits in it! Yep, I buy 2 charms and get this cute bracelet for FREE!

Silver bracelet

I’ve been eyeballing these Tory Burch pearl earrings for the longest time. They’re so classy and simple, I love them! I feel like retro is coming back into trend, so these 2 circle hoops are perfect for that and under $40.

Have a happy Monday!
