  1. Grab some fuzzy socks, a cup of your favorite tea and watch your favorite YouTuber.

  3. Read a book! I love reading religious books or adventure books! Here’s  one book that I just finished and man- it’s worth the read I promise you!
  4. Light a candle. I stock up when Bath and Body Works has their candle sales for this exact reason! I light a candle and read or watch videos- do something YOU like to do.
  5. Pamper yourself. Put on those fuzzy socks, wash your face & apply a mask and just relax! I Make all of my off days my spa day, self-care is very important!

Mint mask // Book // Candle // Aloe fuzzy socks // Lotion

Favorite Nail Products

Hello! I hope everyone is or had a great Memorial weekend! Today I wanted to talk about what my favorite nail products were.

I’m sure y’all have heard me say countless times about how I have dry skin, so I love using this Herbal E Oil on my cuticles! I’m trying to ball on a budget so I don’t really get my nails done unless I have a special event to go to- so I’d like to call myself a nail polish connoisseur haha! Nothing drives me crazy more than chipping a nail right after painting them. I work with my hands so I’m constantly putting nail polishes to the test.

The drug store nail polish that I love is by Sally Hansen and it’s the Miracle GelI’ve purchased 2 different colors in that line that I love. They don’t chip and they last for days. Like I said I work with my hands so if you don’t then I’m sure they’ll last longer for you. When I say they last for days that means without any chipping. They retail for around $8.

One brand that I absolutely love (if you can find it) is Odeme. I bought this green color called Oz in the picture and it lasts so dang long! One thing I was guilty of was not applying a base coat so when I took the polish off it stained my nails yellow-which freaked me out at first! It is such a pigmented color and even 1 coat looks really good. I bought this from a local boutique called Beehive which I’ll link here. If you want to purchase this brand of polish online you can click here to go to their website. This polish retails for $12.

I had acrylic nails for years, so my nails became very thin. One thing that I don’t see a lot is biotin in womens’ daily vitamins so when I saw these 365 vitamins from Whole Foods have them I had to get them! I’ve always had to buy a separate bottle of vitamins to help grow strong nails so I’m happy I found these.

I hope this helps y’all with any nail polish or nail care questions! It’s always great to get your moneys worth from nail polishes that don’t chip and to take care of your nails with vitamins!

Skincare routine with Ginamarie

I recently teamed up with Ginamarie products to test their skincare and makeup products to share with y’all! I’ve been using their skincare products for over a week now and my skin has been so soft and healthy. I suffer with dry and sensitive skin, so trying new skin products usually scares me (unless my sister gives me the ok) because she is an esthetician. However, these Ginamarie products are so gentle and simple! I love it all. One of my favorite products is the Herbal E Oil, which oils can be bad or good due to them clogging up pores but this one is so good.

If you’re a mask person then you’ll love the Marine Mint Mask. If you go here and search for the ‘Mini Skincare Kit’ you’ll get a nice sample of everything before you fully commit to the full-size products! You can read all of my tips and tricks about their products here as well. Just click on ‘Natasha’s Beauty Tips & Tricks’ on the page to read!

I hope y’all enjoy this review of Ginamarie! I post for them every month so always go back to that link.

Get to know me | 15 interesting facts about me

Hey y’all! I wanted to do a 15 facts about me post so that y’all could get to know more about me and what I like! I already did an about me post, but I didn’t go into much detail. I hope y’all love this longer version!

1. When I first started driving I couldn’t wear shoes or jewelry, i felt like it distracted me!

2. I love art and science! If I could replace math with those 2 I’d be perfect in school. I’ve drawn and painted since I was a kid.

3. I suffer with ADD, but not as much as I use to. I’ve cut out a lot of sugar in my diet and it helped a ton.

4. I’d rather walk barefoot but since that’s socially unacceptable I always prefer sandals haha! But I do walk barefoot in my yard/house.

5. I hate having unpainted nails! I feel like they were made to have color on them haha. I also hate painting them myself because I’m a mess at it.

6. I’ve had this pillow case that’s a specific color and fabric since I was a child! When I need a new one I have to hunt that exact color and fabric down. I also hate when people lay on it haha! I know that sounds crazy.

7. I hate cleaning. If I clean I like to have a YouTube or song in the background or someone has to help cuz I get distracted or bored with it. If I ever clean on my own it’s cuz I have a huge burst of energy.

8. I have to sleep with a fan on and wear shorts to bed. No matter how cold it is!

9. When I go on down on escalators I have to go second if I’m with someone because I feel like I’ll fall down and when I’m going up I have to go first so I don’t feel like I’ll fall backwards.

10. I’m allergic to red apples. Specifically red (I know that’s weird) or any type of all natural juice. If I think about a juice cleanse- Can’t ever try it. My throat gets itchy and I start coughing or closes up until I take a Benadryl.

11. I hate taking pictures of myself (I know, who would think a blogger would hate pictures) but I’m never one to say “let’s take a selfie” or anything like that. But I do it for fun for the blog #doitfortheblog

12. I love listening to violin covers of songs.

13. I have never lived without a cat or dog.

14. I hate vanilla scented things, they make me nauseous.

15. I use to want to be a fashion designer. (I had a sketch book filled with drawings forever)

Homemade Cinnamon rolls

So I decided to make these cinnamon rolls because.. I mean who doesnt love them? In all honesty I messed up with the  filling- I mixed the butter sugar and cinnamon all together when I was supposed to coat the rolled out dough with butter and THEN sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over it. It was still tasty though so it’s all good!

Dough:
1/4 -ounce package yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup scalded milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour

cinnamon filling:
1/2 cup melted butter, plus more for pan
3/4 cup sugar, plus more for pan
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

icing:
4 tablespoons butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 6 tablespoons hot water

Preheat oven to 350 and then In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and put to the side. In a large bowl mix milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg. Add 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth. Add yeast mixture. Mix in remaining flour until dough is easy to handle. Knead dough on lightly floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes.

Roll out on a floured surface into a 15 by 9-inch rectangle. Spread melted butter all over dough. (That’s where I messed up but still tasted good!) Then Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered dough. Next you role up dough and pinch edge together to seal. Cut into 12 to 15 slices (just picture how they’re in slices like out of the canned cinnamon rolls)

Coat the bottom of baking pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place cinnamon roll slices close together in the pan and let rise until dough is doubled, about 45 minutes. While they’re cooking you can start making the icing..mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency, and then add to rolls once theyre ready!

Rolled up

Icing

They defiantly look homemade but they were so good! The dough ended up being perfectly flakey right out of the oven and my family loved them! Happy baking 🙂
